Kristi Mitchell Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor Personal Corporation
The healing journey starts with a single step.
Hey there, I’m Kristi.
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Roseville, California, and I specialize in complex trauma, dissociation, and Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID). Whether you're here in person or connecting with me through telehealth, my work is focused on one thing: helping you feel safe enough in your own mind and body to heal.
Before I was a therapist, I spent 26 years in corporate America in financial services. It was a good career, but it wasn't the one I was meant to have. In 2021, I made the leap into counseling — and almost immediately, I found where I belonged: working with people and understanding their trauma. There's something about sitting with people in the hardest, most tender parts of their story that feels like exactly what I'm supposed to be doing.
I work with teens and adults navigating complex trauma, and I have a particular focus on supporting people living with dissociation and DID — populations that don't always find therapists who understand what they're carrying, or how to work with it safely.
My approach is trauma-informed and attachment-based. I integrate advanced, evidence-informed modalities — including Deep Brain Reorienting, Brainspotting, Induced After-Death Communication Therapy, and Hypnotherapy — to meet the nervous system where it actually lives, not just where our thoughts try to explain it. (You can read more about how each of these approaches works under my Counseling Services.)
I'm an empath, so don't be surprised if we laugh together, or if I tear up right alongside you. Laughter, especially, can be some of the most healing medicine there is. Above all, I want to help you rediscover the strengths that are already yours — the ones trauma may have buried, but never erased — so you can make the changes you're longing for.
If you're ready to talk, I'd love to hear from you.
You don’t have to navigate this alone.

I'm an empath, so don't be surprised if we laugh together — or cry together — during a session. I've done deep personal healing work of my own, and I believe that's part of what makes me effective: you can't fully help someone else heal until you've done that work yourself. My goal isn't just symptom relief. It's transformation — helping you move from surviving to truly thriving.

I've worked in the mental health field for six years. After building a strong foundation of clinical experience, I opened my own private practice to focus fully on the work I'm most passionate about: treating complex trauma and dissociation.
